October 24 - 29, 2009 | "Living Into Who We Have Become"

Message from the Chair: AGM 2009

The 2009 AGM was exciting, challenging and refreshing. With the assistance of Cynthia and Mark Feinknopf, the 50 members were guided into fresh thinking and imaging for ATI. Please find a full report in the upcoming Communique and also discussion group on All Together.

ATI would like to extend a big thanks to Mark and Cynthia, who became a part of our community and made a huge contribution to the health and spirit of ATI.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Mizenko, Chair, ATI

Message from Cynthia and Mark to ATI:

November 9, 2009

Dear ATI 2009 AGM Family,

We’re still basking in the afterglow of our time with you. We each carry with us personal “videos” and “still shots” of precious moments shared with many of you which met needs for authenticity, openness, transparency, honesty and deepest connection.

One of those precious snapshots that we’re savoring is witnessing you “flying on your own” as you hastened to gather on the beach and grab hands in what looked like celebration of your time together. Our hearts melted with joy seeing you joined and circling together in preparation for what might come next – precious fuel for our momentary departure.

We hope your journey home and reintegration into daily life was experienced by you each with as much ease as our re-entry!

We LOVED introducing the entire group to our passion for the possibility of gentle and caring conflict management offered by the Restorative Circle (RC) process developed by our friend Dominic Barter in Brazil. (www.RestorativeCircles.org) Being able to facilitate several instances of what we experienced as deep restoration of relationship was not only very touching but also a profound privilege for us.

We would enjoy working with ATI to create the Restorative System that would allow you to incorporate RC’s as a support tool for your organization should that interest you. We would also want to provide the training for interested facilitators that would equip those individuals with ability to facilitate Restorative Circles both within ATI and elsewhere. We believe that guided facilitator training and practice is critical in assuring the foundational safety, trust and respect that are key to the effectiveness of RC’s.

Because our being able to occasionally gift a group with our skills and presence is dependent on our being financially sustained in other situations, we would appreciate any life-sustaining doors that you might open for us. We will greatly appreciate your referral of us to others whom you imagine might find benefit and support from our skills and experience. We'd also really appreciate receiving the support of any comments on your experience with us that you found meaningful - for use in PR.

In addition to supporting individuals, couples and groups with foundational communication and restorative tools, we enjoy offering coaching, visioning and strategic planning, group election and meeting effectiveness, and mediated conversation support and can offer a number of those services via teleconference.

We’d love to let you know if we’re going to be in your area and hope you’ll let Sarah share not only your email but also your address and phone contact info with us. We’d also love to hear from you if you’re going to be in Atlanta.

When we experience such commitment to and passion for health and well being as we did with you, hope and inspiration are stoked, fueled and fired up. Thanks for the recharging!!

Much love,

Cynthia and Mark
